October 26 - 29, 2020
in Dusseldorf, Germany
JCON 2020 will take place from October 26 - 29, 2020. The event starts on Monday with a Workshop Day. The main conference will start on Tuesday and ends on Thursday. The venue is once again UCI multiplex cinema in Duesseldorf, Germany. This year again we will provide 4 simultaneous tracks, but we want to change the content a little bit. The hypes of the last years were microservices, cloud, serverless and DevOps. In addition to the latest trends, we want to focus on new special topic: Core Java!
Core-Java is not really a hype, is it? But, from a Java developer's perspective Core Java and Serverside Java is usually most valuable. The last years, Java conferences are dominated more and more by hype topics like Microservices, Cloud and Serverless computing, but at the same time high-quality Core Java sessions were less and less. We believe Core Java is the topic which is even more interesting for Java developers than the latest hype. The participants can use valuable tips and advice about Core Java immediately. That's why Core Java talks are always well-attended. Thus, we want to have more Core-Java and Serverside Java sessions at JCON than ever before.
Do you have an interesting topic that you would like to introduce at JCON 2020? Then, we are looking forward to your session proposal. Do you have different proposals? Even better! Please, submit more than one. This increases your chances. Please, do not rewrite one and the same talk to have more proposals. This year, high-quality Core Java and Serverside Java talks are most wanted, but finally, it depends on the quality of your proposal.
We are very happy that more and more participants come from different countries. Thus, we would like to offer more and more sessions in English language. Of course, we will accept talks in both languages, German and English as well. Finally, it depends on the quality of your proposal.
The JCON is a Java Community Conference. Our goal is to provide a high-quality session plan for the lowest possible ticket price. Up to 200 Java-User-Group may attend JCON 2020 for free of charge. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you funding (fee, hotel, travel expenses). We do our best to provide you the best possible visibility. In addition to that, you may attend the Training-Day and get further JCON conference-passes.
For your session proposal, you will get a 3-Days-Pass in any case. Accepted speakers get a 3-Days-Speaker-Pass, free access to the Training-Day on Monday and in addition to that 2 x 3-Days-Passes which you can use to invite your colleagues, business partners or friends to your talk at JCON 2020.
