October 27 - 30, 2020
in Dusseldorf, Germany
The JCON 2020 should be a place where all conference visitors, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and participants feel safe, respected and welcome. Therefore, we ask everyone present to adhere to the following rules of conduct. These are enforced by the organizer on the entire JCON 2020. We would like to enable all of our participants to participate in the JCON 2020 without inconvenience.
"Harassment" includes, among other things, offensive statements about gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearances such as physique, skin colour, political views, religion, sexualizing representations in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, persecution, unwanted photography or recording, repeated disruption of lectures and other events, unwanted physical contact and unwanted sexual attention.
All those involved who are cautioned about such behaviour must stop it immediately. These rules of conduct apply equally to conference visitors, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and contributors. It includes all venues, lectures, workshops, as well as social and other online media.
Sponsors are also subject to these rules of conduct. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities or other (advertising) material. The stand personnel (including the volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes or create a sexualized environment in any other way.
If participants are noticed by harassing, insulting or discriminatory behaviour, the organizer is free to intervene in what appears to be an appropriate form. This includes warnings up to the reference of the JCON 2020. In the event of a reference, there is no entitlement to a refund of the admission price.
If you feel bothered or notice that someone else is being bothered or if you experience any other problems, please contact a team member immediately.
We expect all participants to comply with these rules throughout the conference, workshops, and all other meetings related to the JCON 2020.
